Advocating for research-based strategies and sufficient resources to support academic and social-emotional recovery after extended school closures, a shortened school year, and truncated curricula, as well as pushing APS to responsibly allocate federal rescue funds.

Advocating around effective and consistent county-wide instruction for APS students, including support for demonstrated evidence bases for new curricula, high-quality gifted services, and inclusive special education.

Focusing on students' classroom experience including reduced screen time and increased use of textbooks and manipulatives, promoting smaller class sizes, and recruitment, retention and support for high-quality teachers and staff.
