APS ARP Funding Application

Arlington Parents for Education has been investigating how APS applied for and is using the $19.8 million award in American Rescue Funds. Over the course of the past few months, we have uncovered that APS did not comply with the ARP requirements to obtain public comment nor to engage in meaningful consultation with stakeholders on the use of the funds. Moreover, we have learned that the School Board did not vote to approve spending $10.5 million of those funds on the Virtual Learning Program (VLP).
